This report provides a comprehensive analysis of the general banking activities of Agrani Bank PLC, based on an internship conducted at its Paduar Bazar Branch. The study aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical banking operations, focusing on account opening, cash management, remittance, clearing, and digital banking services. The analysis of data from 2021 to 2025 reveals consistent growth across all key deposit categories, including current accounts, savings accounts, fixed deposit receipts (FDR), short notice term deposits (SNTD), and other accounts. This upward trend reflects increasing customer confidence and effective deposit mobilization. Loan disbursement, particularly in cash credit and other loan segments, has also shown steady progress, alongside a notable rise in remittance inflows—from 18.5 crore to 27.22 crore. Agrani Bank PLC has made significant strides in digital transformation. The Agrani Smart Mobile Banking App usage increased from 40 to 82 users, and ATM card adoption grew steadily. The introduction of the e-Account app for remote onboarding using NID and selfie verification has simplified account opening. Automation is further evidenced by the increased use of automated challan services and the implementation of core banking solutions such as T24 (Temenos), BACH, and BEFTN. Based on the findings, the report recommends enhancing customer awareness of digital products, reducing operational delays through process automation and additional staffing, strengthening the internship training framework, expanding ATM and digital infrastructure, and establishing a real time customer feedback mechanism. In conclusion, Agrani Bank PLC is progressing effectively toward becoming a technology-driven, customer-centric state-owned bank. By addressing the identified limitations and continuing its modernization efforts, the bank is well-positioned to achieve its vision of operating at international standards of efficiency and service quality. |
